5 Indians Advance To Districts!

Saturday the Indians traveled to Spencer to start their journery towards the State Tournament on Feburary 19-21. At the end of the day the SLP Wrestlers had finished in 3rd place behind CL/GLR and Spencer. Out of the 12 guys that wrestled 5 of them finished in the top 2 to qualify for the District Tournament in Sioux Center on February 14.

Gavin Kramer at 120 and Adam Skopec at 126 were both Sectional Champions. Kramer won by tech fall over Castro of ELC 16-1 in the championship match and Skopec avenged a loss with a pin over Van Beek of CL/GLR in the second period.

Daniel Trucksess at 138, Jac Radcliffe at 145, and Justin Jones at 152 all finished 2nd in their bracket. These 3 will also compete next weekend for a shot to qualify for the State Tournament in Des Moines.
