Week 1 Recap

Well the first week of competitions is in the books. On Thursday, December 3 we competed against Central Lyon/GLR and Sheldon/SO. The first dual against CL/GLR ended with the Indains on top 60-18. During the second dual a couple key matches early in the dual got us rolling and we were able to run the table and blanking Sheldon 81-0. One of the coolest things to look at after the 2 duals was that we had 6 freshman in the line up for the first time and they as a group went 12-0!

On Saturday the Indians stayed close to home traveling down south for Okoboji Invite. When all the dust was settled the Indians finished in first place as a team topping 1A #2 ranked Sibley. 5 Champions helped lead the way to this team title with Nate Cornwall at 113, Spencer Newman at 120, Kyler Dunn at 126, Kyler Rieck at 138, and John Tuttle at 152. Also placing in the top 3 was Gavin Kramer 3rd at 132, Adam Skopec 3rd at 145, Justin Jones 3rd at 170, Dakoda Powell at 182, Hunter Akers 3rd at 195, and Trenten Murray 3rd at 285. Next week we start our conference duals off in Estherville when we will face ELC and Western Christian. Action starts at 6.
